Gary Lukacs finished the Cascade Crest 100 in Washington on August 29. Gary said about it, "...beautiful low key race.  Cool, clear weather and fantastic scenery made for some excellent running." Results

The VHTRC board has selected Kevin Sayers to be the race director of the Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile Run beginning with the 2011 event.  Kevin is an accomplished ultra runner and the race director of the Catoctin 50km. We are confident that he can continue MMT's tradition of excellence and be a worthy successor of former RDs Ed Demoney and Stan Duobinis. Keith Knipling and Tracy Dahl were married on Sunday, August 22. We all send them our best wishes!

Amy Sproston was second woman at Where's Waldo 100km in Oregon.  Aaron Schwartzbard was 10th overall and Derrick Carr was 24th.  Results

Thanks to Michelle and Joe for hosting a wonderful party for VHTRC volunteers at their home on August 7. There was plenty of good food and the keg was still heavy when this reporter left (which is sort of amazing in itself).  Many volunteers showed up. Mike Campbell reports on his run at the Burning River 100 mile on July 31.

Annette was the overall winner. Mike won the "Grand Master" age group. (We think that Grand Master started at age 50. Mike is 60.)  There were several other VHTRC participants in the run held in northeast Ohio. Event Web site
